DAY 1
There is an early start leaving Marrakech at 07:00. As we cross the Atlas Range and the road climbs up through the mountains there is a beautiful view of the area and the valleys below. We travel up to the pass of Tiz-n-Tichka (alt 2260 m). Then we will have the opportunity to visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which has been designated a world heritage site.
Later we will arrive at Ouarzazate where films such as Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator were shot. We will then visit the second Kasbah, Touarirt and stop for lunch. After lunch we continue via Skoura, Valley of the Rose, Boulmane Dades, arriving at Dades Gorges for an overnight stay at a hotel.
DAY 2
We leave Dades Gorges at around 07.30, passing via Tingher, which overlooks the not-to-be missed ruins of the imposing Glaoui Kasbah. We continue until we reach the Todgha Gorges where we will stop for lunch.
We will pass many Kasbahs (villages) such as Tinjedad, Erfoud, Tafilalt, Rissani then Merzouga. At Merzouga, you will take a 2-hour camel ride crossing the highest and the most beautiful sand dunes in Morocco, arriving at Berber tents for an overnight stay including dinner and a drum party.
DAY 3
We will wake up early in the morning to see the sunrise over the dunes. There will be time for photos and breakfast before taking a camel ride back to Merzouga.
From Merzouga we will take transport back to Marrakech arriving around 18.30. There will be some stops on the way to Marrakech.
