We are pleased to announce that we will be running (pardon the pun) once again our event in 2025  So why not join us with other runners, running clubs and charities.  Looking forward to seeing you there.

Come and enjoy running in an exotic location and take in some of the sights and sounds of Morocco over a 3-day weekend trip, which can be extended if you’d like to stay for longer. Or we would happy to discuss with you your own tailor-made package.

The climate in January is mild (compared to the UK). 

The course is flat and is considered to be one of the fastest in the world. Although it's an international race, it is still a small race with around 6,000 runners (2,000 for the Marathon and about 4,000 for the Half Marathon). 

Both the Marathon and Half Marathon take place on the same day and the start of each race in the morning and is usually within an hour of each other.  The marathon goes around the ramparts of the city and along the alleys of palm trees, orange, and olive-trees. The half marathon circles around the ramparts of the town.


We have been organising this weekend event for a number of years and have great experience looking after our runners. It helps that Rachid is an experienced and dedicated runner.  For inspiration to get your running shoes on please have a look below of our event in past years.


Cost

4* Star hotel

  • £150  per person (based on 2 people sharing a twin room)
  • £65 per person single room supplement

5* star hotel

  • £195 per person (based on 2 people sharing a twin room)
  • £70 per person single room supplement

Race fee (no admin fees payable)

  • £45 for Half Marathon
  • £65 for Marathon

What's included

  • Accommodation for 3 nights on B&B basis
  • Airport transfers to and from airport to hotel
  • Entry for Half Marathon or Marathon, if selected and added to your package
  • Delivery of your race number to your hotel
  • Our assistance during your stay

All inclusive 3-day package

You will be staying in a hotel located in the Hivernage district of Marrakech. Both hotels will be a short walk to the start/finish of both the Marathon and Half-Marathon.


The Hivernage district is walking distance (about 20 minutes from the main square, Jemma Ef Fna, in the old medina, where you will find souks (markets), restaurants etc. 


Hotels offer the usual facilities associated with 4* and 5* hotels

We have our standard packages as outlined above. However, we also offer a wide range of services to meet every type of need.

Group Tour

Choose a day out to either

Essaouira or Cascade D’Ouzoud 

 

  • Price for transport and return back to Marrakech, 
  • Pick up at your hotel, or meet at Jemma El Fna. 
  • On your return to Marrakech, you’ll be dropped off either: near your hotel if hotel is en route back to Jemma El Fna; or at Jemma El Fna square itself.

 

You will be joining others for this day trip.

Quad Biking

  • Quad Biking in the Palmeraie (outskirts of Marrakech) - you will be joining others in a group for this activity

 

  • Camel Riding can also be added at an additional cost (£10 extra) joining a group

Cookery Class

From £40

Per person (minimum 4 people) 

Learn to cook a Tagine and then enjoy your own cooking. 

 

  • This is a half-day starting in the morning and then at lunchtime enjoy you own cooking before returning back to your hotel

 

  • Not only will you learn how to cook a Tagine, you will also be helping this charity that is dedicated to the empowerment of disadvantaged women
