Cooking class begins at 9:30 am and ends around 1:00 to1:30 pm
Information on the cooking school
This cooking school is a charity dedicated to the empowerment of disadvantaged women through restaurant training and job placement.
The charity provides a six-month training course for 30 women. The course also provides the living expenses during the training.
On completion of the training the charity endeavours to find the graduates jobs in restaurants, hotels, Riads or private homes that will allow them to be financially independent.
So, taking part in this cooking class gives support to the charity so that they can continue this work.
What can I cook?
You can generally select to cook either a chicken, beef or lamb tagine (Vegetarian tagine would also be possible). Choices can be confirmed at time of booking.
Once your tagine is ready you can enjoy your own homecooked lunch.
You will also take part in a Moroccan Tea Ceremony.
What's included
- Private transport to the cookery school from your hotel, usually leaving at around 8:50/9:00 a.m.;
- Small bottle of water;
- Cooking lesson and instructions so you can cook your own meal for lunch
- 2 people will be cooking a tagine together;
- Bookmark recipe card;
- Moroccan tea ceremony
What's not included
- Drinks or any other services other than mentioned above;
- Personal expenses.
Before booking and before you go, please be aware of the following:
- Cost includes private transport to and from the cookery school, which is situated on the outskirts of Marrakech;
- You will set off from your hotel/Riad at around 8;15 so that you will can begin your cookery class at around 9:30 a.m.;
- You will be joining other people on the day at the cookery school. The school can accommodate a maximum of c. 20 to 24 adults;
- Discounts are available for larger groups. Please contact us to discuss your requirements;
- Please note that the Charity does not have the resources to accommodate a large number of children during the cooking class;
- You will be under the supervision of professional cooks.
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel in advance with at least 72 hours before the morning of your activity a full refund is available. If less than 3 days then no refund is payable. Please refer to the Booking Terms & Conditions for full details.
Cancellations received with less than 72 hours notification in writing will not be eligible for a refund.
